Bill Clinton/ Kamala Harris forum on “Empowering Women” is Hypocrisy, Notes Ruth Inst.

“You’ve got to be kidding,” Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said of Vice President Harris doing a webcast forum on ‘empowering women and girls’ with former President Bill Clinton last week. “Neither Clinton nor Harris are credible promoters of ‘empowering women and girls.’”

Charges of sexual harassment and assault have plagued the former president throughout his career. The current VP lost all credibility on the sexual harassment issue due to her partisan interpretation of this term, pointedly ignoring charges of misconduct by Democrats and blindly accepting such charges against Republicans.

During the 2018 hearings on Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination, then-Senator Harris said she believedthe woman who accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault decades earlier. “It takes an extraordinary amount of courage” for a woman to testify against a man nominated for “one of the most powerful positions” in the land, Harris explained at the time.

Morse asked, “Does the Vice President believe the many women who have accused Clinton of a variety of sex crimes over the years? Does she believe Juanita Broaddrick, who says Clinton raped her in 1978, or Paula Jones, who says he exposed himself to her when she was an Arkansas state employee?

“How can Harris not cringe at sharing the spotlight with a man who had a sexual relationship with an intern almost 30 years his junior and then lied about it under oath?”

Morse added: “The week after the Harris-Clinton forum, a 10th woman has come forward to accuse New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexual improprieties. Harris has steadfastly refused to comment on this embattled governor in her own party. In this case, silence is not golden.

“Perhaps her own extra-marital relationship with then California Assembly Speaker Willie Brown has colored her views,” Morse speculated. Harris got her start in California politics with a $70,000-a-year patronage job ($120,000 in today’s money) from her then boyfriend.

“What all these ‘pro-women’ politicians have in common is that they are pro-abortion,” Morse charged. “According to Sexual Revolutionaries, ‘empowering women’ means delivering women into the hands of powerful men, without those men ever having to worry about the responsibilities of fatherhood.

“How ironic,” Morse declared. “People of faith who advocate for lifelong married love are supposedly out of touch, old-fashioned and anti-woman. Men and women who have lived a lifetime of fidelity to their spouses are told to admire and emulate people like Kamala Harris and Bill Clinton. The hypocrisy of the Sexual Revolutionaries is stunning.”

“Equality Act” Will Force Us to Lie Says Ruth Institute

“Equality Act” Will Force Us to Lie Says Ruth Institute

The “Equality Act” making its way through Congress will force people to lie about the reality of biological sex and, by lying, to corrupt themselves,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.

“The Equality Act will require us to affirm that a man who says he’s a woman is in fact, in every way, a woman. If you can make people tell such an obvious lie, you can get them to do anything,” Morse said.

The bill, which passed the House on February 18, would amend the U.S. Civil Rights Act to add sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected classes.

“But it goes far beyond that,” Morse said. “A man who says he’s a woman could stay overnight in a shelter for battered women. A convicted rapist who says he’s a woman could be housed in a women’s prison. The bill will force our daughters to use bathrooms, changing room and showers with biological males who say they are females. This is the height of insanity.

“If the so-called Equality Act becomes law, it will destroy women’s sports. For years, ‘progressives’ insisted on absolute equality between men and women’s sports. Clinton Administration officials went around closing men’s wrestling and swimming programs to achieve this goal. Now, in the name of a bogus equality, self-styled champions of women are killing women’s sports by forcing women and girls to compete with males who are, by their nature, stronger, faster and have greater endurance.

“I find it mystifying that a party that puts itself forth as a champion of women could do this to real flesh-and-blood women,” Morse charged.

“The ‘Equality Act’ would require Catholic physicians and hospitals to prescribe hormone treatments and perform surgery in violation of their conscience. Employers would not be allowed to discriminate on the basis of ‘gender identity.’ Airlines would have to use male TSA guards who say they are women to do pat-downs of biological, that is, real women.”

Morse warned, “We are on the verge of becoming a totalitarian society where the government commands citizens to lie. If this monstrosity becomes law, we will have gone over the edge and into uncharted territory.”

There’s a good chance the misnamed Equality Act can be stopped in the Senate, where 60 votes are needed to end a filibuster. Morse urged senators to “‘follow the science,’ in President Biden’s immortal words, and not endorse a deceptive appeal to minority rights. We cannot allow ideology to trump reality.”

“Individuals with a Cervix” is the Latest Effort to Erase Women, Ruth Inst. Charges

“I don’t know whether to laugh or cry,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., regarding CNN using the expression “individuals with a cervix” instead of women, in a story about screenings for cervical cancer.

“We have come to expect this kind of nonsense from CNN. It’s no wonder CNN is at the bottom of the cable-news heap, with roughly half the viewership of FOX News.”

Morse continued, “I was really disappointed to see that the CNN story was a direct report from the American Cancer Society’s premier journal. The medical profession, including venerable organizations like the American Cancer Society, has gone all-in for the Sexual Revolution.”

“Increasingly, the Ruling Class and the Beautiful People of society avoid saying ‘man’ and ‘woman,’ to avoid offending men who say they are women,” said Morse. “In May, a UN official said we need to make language more ‘gender-neutral’ by avoiding words like ‘husband’ and ‘wife,’” she explained.

Morse urged: “CNN and the American Cancer Society need to get a grip on reality. There are two, and only two, sexes – male and female. A man doesn’t become a woman by wanting to be one, or by mutilating his body with hormones and surgery, none of which alters his DNA.”

Morse continued: “Only women can get cervical cancer, because only a woman has a cervix. Why is that so hard to understand? For decades progressives have claimed to be empowering women. Now they are erasing them and pretending that male and female are ‘social constructs.’ The Sexual Revolution was never really about empowering women.”

“There seems to be no end to CNN’s language-manipulation. Instead of saying ‘baby,’ it once used the expression ‘a fetus that was born,’ referring to protections for infants that survive an abortion,” Morse said.

“Just because CNN ‘self-identifies’ as a news channel doesn’t make it one.”

Ruth Institute: SCOTUS erases womanhood

June 16, 2020

For Immediate Release

For More Information: media@ruthinstitute.org

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D. said, “The Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock v. Clayton County erases womanhood. It is the end of women in sports and women’s rights to privacy. Thanks to the Sexual Revolutionaries on the Court, our laws will refuse to distinguish men who say they are women from real women.”

The Court held that the 1964 Civil Rights Act, which was intended to protect employees from racial discrimination, applies to an individual’s subjective, claimed perception of his sex (so-called sexual identity).

Morse called the ruling: “A decision by an activist court which bears no relationship to the law it claims to be applying, nor to reality itself. The Supreme Court can distort the law, but it can’t change reality. If you’re born a man, you’ll remain one to your dying day, regardless of what you believe or do to your body.”

Although the decision immediately concerns employment law, bureaucrats and other activist judges will surely apply it more broadly. Morse warned: “Justice Alito’s dissent spells out the long-term consequences of today’s ruling. Bathrooms, changing rooms, sports, health care, housing, employment in religious institutions, freedom of speech, will all be distorted. A school district will decide that the ruling compels it to allow boys access to girls rooms. Sports teams will feel compelled to let boys who ‘identify’ as the opposite sex play on girls’ sports teams, essentially ending women’s sports.”

Dr. Michelle Cretella, M.D., Executive Director of the American College of Pediatricians, agreed with Morse: “The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 against science, common sense and the bedrock of Western Civilization when it redefined ‘sex’ to include gender identity and thereby erased females from American law. From the scientific point of view, sex is defined according to an organism's biological role in reproduction; it is an innate and immutable trait that is solely biologically determined. Thanks to the betrayal of conservative justices John Roberts and Neil Gorsuch, all Americans and American institutions (including churches) must pretend that sex is a mere state of mind that can be changed at will. This means that all Americans are now compelled by federal law to lie - compelled by law to speak and behave as though people are whoever or whatever they claim to be irrespective of the facts.”

Dr. Cretella will be speaking at The Ruth Institute’s annual Summit for Survivors of the Sexual RevolutionJuly 17-18, in Lake Charles, LA. Her topic will be Medical Tragedies of the Sexual Revolution.

Morse concluded, “We can hope that a future court will reverse the Bostock decision. In the meantime, the fight will continue in other forums and on other battlefields.”

Cretella agreed: “The enforcement of this insanity requires nothing less than a tyrannical new order of government. We must resist.”
