Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., Founder and President of the Ruth Institute, addressed the Catholic Lawyers Guild of the Diocese of Lincoln, Nebraska, and the Lincoln chapter of Legatus, a national association
of Catholic business leaders, in person last week.

In her remarks to the Lawyers Guild, Morse charged: “The Sexual Revolution is a lawless totalitarian movement. Those of us in the pro-life and pro-family
movements have been staring into the abyss of sin for a long time.” (Watch the video of her speech, “The Sexual Revolution: The Church was right
all along, and we can prove it!” here.)

Morse cited the example of David Daleiden, the undercover journalist who caught Planned Parenthood officials illegally negotiating the sale of body
parts from aborted babies. Rather than prosecuting Planned Parenthood for felonies, the Sexual State allowed Planned Parenthood to sue Daleiden
for civil damages.

In her talk, Morse referred to the traditional understanding of law, as enunciated by St. Thomas Aquinas. “Law is an ordinance of reason, promulgated
by the proper authority, to promote the common good.” She cited no-fault divorce as a lawless exercise of state power. “Treating the innocent and
the guilty identically is the opposite of justice. Dissolving a marriage at the request of one party, against the express wishes of the other,
does not promote the common good.”

The Catholic Lawyers Guild helps members integrate their faith in their professional life, and provides a forum for addressing ethical and spiritual
questions related to the legal profession in a practical way.

Among those present at Morse’s talk were the Most Reverend James Conley, Bishop of Lincoln, and the Hon. Mike Foley, Lieutenant Governor of Nebraska.

During the trip, Morse also addressed the Lincoln chapter of Legatus, which is part of an international organization of Catholic
business leaders and executives, who have committed to study, live, and spread the Catholic faith.

Morse is a popular speaker at conservative and pro-family functions, and has addressed the Family Research Council, The Acton Institute, and Alliance
Defending Freedom, among other national organizations. She has also spoken around the world including in Uganda, Australia, Spain, and Rome.

The Ruth Institute is a global non-profit organization, leading an international interfaith coalition to
defend the family and build a civilization of love.

Jennifer Roback Morse is the author of The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies Are Destroying Lives.
