Dr. Laura Haynes retired from psychological clinical practice after more than 40 years. She now speaks and writes about same sex attraction and discordant
gender-sex identity change. Her writing has spread internationally.
Dr. Haynes received her Ph.D. from Rosemead School of Psychology (now a graduate school of Biola University), and M.A.s from Fuller Theological Seminary,
Rosemead School of Psychology, and Southern Methodist University. She served on the board of the International Federation for Therapeutic and Counseling
Choice, and chaired a committee of the National Task Force for Therapy Equality.
She worked on research for the National Task Force for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity, and was a consultant for the American College of Pediatricians.
She also served the Christian Association for Psychological Studies—Western Region as president. She is a member of the California Association
of Marriage and Family Therapists, and the American Psychological Association.
