Awards Dinner Honors Heroes at Ruth Inst. Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution

June 12, 2020

For Immediate Release

For more information, contact media@ruthinstitute.org.

As part of its Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution (July 17-18 in Lake Charles, LA) the Ruth Institute will host its Third Annual Awards Dinner July 17. The honorees are:

Public Witness Award: Sue Ellen Browder, author of How I helped the Sexual Revolution Hijack the Women’s Movement. As a freelance writer for Cosmopolitan, Browder became a propagandist for sexual liberation by promoting unmarried sex, contraception and abortion as the single woman’s path to personal fulfillment. Browder will also deliver the keynote address.

Activism Award: Cathy Ruse, graduate of Georgetown University Law School and past spokeswoman on human life issues for the U.S. Catholic Bishops Conference. Ruse is being honored for exposing the Fairfax Co., Virginia Board of Education for using a Planned Parenthood-endorsed Comprehensive Sex Education program.

Professional Integrity Award: Dr. Paul Church, Cornell-trained urologist, who worked for 28 years at Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. In 2013, he was removed from practice at this and other Boston-area hospitals for urging them not to participate in LGBT events, due to overwhelming evidence that same-sex practices increase the risk of disease and mental health problems. He compared this to the medical community promoting smoking.

Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., observed: “Our three honorees have been on the front lines of the fight to expose and oppose the more pernicious aspects of the Sexual Revolution. They are all heroes, and we are proud of their participation in our Survivors Summit.”

The Summit will also include “It Takes a Family to Raise a Village,” an Ambassador Training Conference (by application only) on July 17, and the full-day Summit program on July 18.

Ruth Inst. Rejects UN “Gender-Neutral Language” Manipulation

May 29, 2020

For Immediate Release

For More Information: media@ruthinstitute.org

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said the United Nations’ attempt to make language more politically correct is “another advance for the Sexual Revolution and a further descent into barbarism.”

A UN bureaucrat recently tweeted that we need to make language more “gender-neutral” by eliminating the words “husband” and “wife” and substituting “spouse.” Morse noted, “Who controls the language controls the debate.”

“I warned ten years ago during the marriage debates that a necessary consequence of removing the gender requirement from marriage would be de-gendering marriage,” Morse said. “No more ‘husband and wife,” only gender-neutral ‘spouse’ or ‘partner.’”

Morse asked how far this will go. “This process also includes replacing the words ‘father and mother’ to the gender-neutral ‘parent.’ The words ‘son’ and ‘daughter’ become the generic ‘child.’ The end goal of the Sexual Revolutionaries is to remove all references to sex from law and custom.”

Regarding the UN tweet: “There was never a vote to switch from husband and wife to spouse, not even in the UN, where such a vote might have passed,” Morse said. “And there was certainly never a popular referendum on the question. Very few of the ordinary people who supported same-sex marriage had any idea that they were de-gendering marriage. Proponents of the Sexual Revolution are adept at infiltration and subversion of unaccountable bureaucracies.”

Morse urged: “Don’t let them get away with it. Once we start purging the language of gender-specific words, there’ll be no end to it. Each victory will whet the Revolutionary appetite for more. Today’s gender-confused children are, in part, a consequence of our gender-confused law and language.”

Ruth Inst: Blatant Judge Bias in “Trans” Athletes Case

May 27, 2020

For Immediate Release

For More Information: media@ruthinstitute.org

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., called Judge Chatigny’s order requiring plaintiffs’ attorneys to refer to male athletes as “trans-female” outrageous.

Alliance Defending Freedom is challenging a Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference decision allowing male athletes who “identify” as female to compete in the girls’ division.

ADF is representing three girls who maintain it’s unfair to force them to compete against boys.

Morse observed, “You don’t need a degree in physiology to see that boys have an advantage in athletic contests due to their superior strength and speed. No amount of politically correct thinking can change that.” She notes that two “transgender male” sprinters together have won a total of 15 girls indoor and outdoor championships in Connecticut since 2017.

Morse added, "These young men say they are females trapped in a male body. Be that as it may, their male bodies are competing against girl bodies. No legal dictate can change this obvious fact."

The Ruth Institute agrees with the ADF motion asking the federal judge hearing the case to recuse himself.

“In his ruling on language, U.S. District Court Judge Robert Chatigny is demanding that lawyers for the plaintiffs adopt the language of their opponents, such as ‘trans-female,’” Morse said. “Judge Chatigny has clearly signaled that his mind is made up on the case, and that, regardless of the evidence ADF presents, he intends to allow the CIAC’s rule to stand.”

Connecticut is one of 17 states that allows students to compete in their division of choice without any restrictions. The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a statement of interest in the case, stating: “Allowing biological males to compete in all-female sports deprives women of the opportunity to participate fully and fairly in sports, and is fundamentally unfair to female athletes.”

Morse added: “The idea that individuals can change their sex is a basic tenet of the Sexual Revolution. In reality, the athletes the judge refers to as ‘trans-female’ were born male, are male, and will remain male until the day they die, no matter how they describe themselves and whatever an activist judge orders.”

Ruth Inst.: “Once Again, Sexual Revolution is Taxpayer-Funded”

May 21, 2020

For Immediate Release

For more information, contact media@ruthinstitute.org.

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said she was appalled that Planned Parenthood affiliates received $80 million in forgivable loans under the Paycheck Protection Program and applauded the Trump Administration for demanding return of the funding.

Morse declared: “As an organization with more than 500 employees, Planned Parenthood doesn’t qualify for the program. Moreover, I don’t think this is the type of ‘business’ Congress and the administration had in mind when stimulus spending was authorized.”

In 2017-2018, Planned Parenthood performed 332,757 abortions. That year, it had $1.9 billion in assets. As independent filmmaker David Daleiden showed, a number of affiliates of the abortion giant made money selling aborted baby parts.

“The Sexual Revolution is largely supported by taxpayer dollars and government mandates,” Morse explained. “Contraception is an Obamacare mandate. Government agencies like the New York City Health Department promote the weirdest perversions imaginable. Public libraries provide a forum for Drag Queen Story Hour. And public education includes taxpayer-funded sex education that amounts to indoctrination and propaganda.”

Morse continued: “The Sexual Revolution is driven by elites who have forced the people to finance the destruction of their moral code. Billionaire donors like George Soros, Bill Gates and Warren Buffett finance abortion, contraception and sexual indoctrination. But they also spend their resources manipulating the political process to get funded by the US Treasury. Planned Parenthood’s brazen application for support from the Paycheck Protection Program shows how accustomed they are to feeding at the federal trough.

“These elites are so entrenched in the corridors of power that even in the Trump Administration, they found a way to get their hands on funding intended to keep small businesses and their employees going during the coronavirus shutdown.”

Morse said she was encouraged that the Small Business Administration is demanding that Planned Parenthood affiliates return the funds they received. She also called for safeguards to be put in place to prevent this from happening in the future.

Ruth Institute Urges: Consider Allegations Against Biden in Light of Sexual Revolution

May 12, 2020

For Immediate Release

For more information: media@ruthinstitute.org

Commenting on the controversy surrounding Vice President Joe Biden and allegations of sexual assault, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., President of the Ruth Institute, said the case must be considered in light of the Sexual Revolution.

“We are not taking a position on Mr. Biden’s guilt or innocence,” Morse said, “but it should come as no surprise that powerful men have taken advantage of the general loosening of morals brought about by the Sexual Revolution to prey on the innocent.”

Tara Reade says that when she was an aide in his office in 1993, then-Senator Joe Biden sexually assaulted her, a charge the putative Democratic nominee denies. “It’s quite possible we’ll never know the truth of the matter,” Morse commented. “But the rise of sex crimes is another poisonous fruit of the Sexual Revolution.”

Between 2013 and 2017, the number of reported rapes in this country increased almost 20%. The 2018 FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports reveals there were 127,258 reported cases of rape that year.

“The Sexual Revolution holds that sex is an entitlement – an ideology that promotes both casual sex and exploitation,” Morse said.

“How great a leap is it from the idea that ‘you have a right to sex,’ to ‘you can take whatever you want, if you think you can get away with it?’” Morse asked.

As to why it took her so long to come forward publicly with her story, Reade says she felt no one would believe her. Morse responded: “The Sexual Revolution has empowered abusers and silenced victims. It took decades for the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein to come to light. Like Reade, their victims feared that no one would believe them, that they had in some way encouraged the offense or that these rich and powerful men would retaliate against them.”

“We don’t need a blanket policy of ‘always believing women’ to realize that something is seriously wrong here,” Morse said of Reade’s specific allegations. “But one thing is certain, the Sexual Revolution empowers predators and disarms victims. This toxic ideology has created a hunter’s paradise for predators.”

A well-documented expansion of these arguments is contained in Dr. Morse’s book, The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies Are Destroying Lives.

Ruth Inst. Condemns NYC Official for Anti-Christian Bigotry and Pro-Sexual Revolutionary Insanity

May 5, 2020

For Immediate Release

For more information: media@ruthinstitute.org

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., criticized NYC Council Speaker Corey Johnson for demanding that Samaritan’s Purse not be allowed to continue COVID-19 relief. “Worse than looking a gift horse in the mouth is kicking it in the teeth,” Morse said.

Samaritan’s Purse, whose president is Franklin Graham (son of Billy Graham), has been running a field hospital in Central Park for COVID-19 patients who do not require ventilators.

Evidently Johnson believes Samaritan’s Purse, whose leaders believe in man-woman marriage and oppose abortion, soils the sacred progressivism of New York City.

Morse commented: “This is absurd. Johnson accuses Samaritan’s Purse of anti-gay bigotry, while displaying anti-Christian prejudice himself. We don’t need a religious test for helping to fight a pandemic. What Johnson calls bigotry is the traditional Christian view of marriage and life, common to all great world religions until five minutes ago.”

There’s no evidence that Samaritan’s Purse has turned anyone away from its overflow hospital.

Morse added: “New York City has pleaded for help from Washington throughout this crisis. Apparently, the city is willing to accept money from taxpayers who are pro-life and pro-marriage. But direct help from those same Christian people? Not so much.”

It was just announced that Samaritan’s Purse will close its Central Park field hospital, after treating 315 patients, due in part to pressure from city officials like Johnson and demonstrations by LGBTQ activists.

New York is sometimes referred to as Gotham, a legendary city renowned for the foolishness of its inhabitants. In March, the Ruth Institute commented on a NYC Health Department memo telling residents that masturbation was the best way to have sex while avoiding the spread of the coronavirus. “The next safest partner is someone you live with,” Gotham’s Health Department advises. “If you do have sex, have as few partners as possible.”

Incredibly, this taxpayer supported department advised, “If you usually meet your sex partners online or make a living by having sex, consider taking a break from in-person dates. Video dates, sexting or chat rooms may be options for you.”

In response, Morse said: “Do the residents of New York really need to be told to abstain from casual sex, sex with strangers and orgies during a major public health crisis?”

Considering the combination of the direct attack on Samaritan’s Purse and the indirect promotion of casual sex, Morse concluded: “Apparently, New York City is less concerned about fighting a virus than making prostrations before the gods of the Sexual Revolution.”

The Man Who Exposed Forced Abortion in China a Guest on The Dr. J Show

April 27, 2020

For Immediate Release

For more information, contact media@ruthinstitute.org.

Steven Mosher, author of Bully of Asia: Why China’s Dream is the New Threat to World Order, is this week’s guest on The Dr. J Show, the interview program of The Ruth Institute.

Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, PhD., founder and president of the Ruth Institute, said, “We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring viewers this interview with Steven Mosher, the first person to expose the horrors of forced abortion in the People’s Republic of China. Decades before the communist regime exposed the world to the coronavirus, it was committing massive human rights abuses.”

In 1980, as the first Western social scientist to study in China, Mosher witnessed the regime’s one-child policy in action. He watched in horror as women in the seventh, eighth, even ninth month of pregnancy were dragged to an operating table to have a C-section abortion performed on them.

Mosher said this shocking experience made him pro-life, and his new pro-life stance cost him his doctorate.

Morse said, “Here in microcosm, is the whole story of US relations with the People’s Republic of China. Mosher’s advisors at Stanford University valued their access to research in China, more than exposing these human rights atrocities. Time after time, Westerners give China a ‘pass,’ so they can continue doing business there. This has been going on for forty years.”

Mosher also recounts his attempts to tell the president of the National Organization for Women about the appalling coercion of the Chinese Communist Party on women. The president of NOW responded, “Well, China does have a population problem.”

Morse stated, “Again, there is the story of highly-placed advocates of the Sexual Revolution ignoring human rights abuses. The claim that they defend a ‘women’s right to choose’ is a cover story, not a real commitment.”

Mosher subsequently abandoned a career as a social scientist and became a leader in the pro-life movement. Today he’s the president of the Population Research Institute.

“My interview with Mosher shows that the Chinese Communist Party has a long history of callousness and corruption even toward its own people, well before the recent COVID-19 catastrophe,” Morse said.

Each week on the Dr. J show, Morse interviews experts on issues ranging from surrogacy and “transgenderism,” to divorce, sexual abuse, pornography and other aspects of the Sexual Revolution.

Ruth Institute Blasts NFL and FOX for “Sexual Grooming” in the Super Bowl Halftime Show

For immediate release

For more information, contact media@ruthinstitute.org.

“An internationally televised grooming session.” That’s how Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., described the hyper-sexualized halftime show at Sunday’s Super Bowl. “Convincing prospective victims that overtly sexual displays are normal and empowering, softening victims up to ‘consent’ to sex more readily--these are the hallmarks of sexual grooming.”

Father Mark Hodges, an Orthodox priest and the Ruth Institute’s Dr. J Show producer, added, “The show included a series of bumps and grinds, which offered flashes of crotch and brazenly featured the performers’ buttocks.”

To make matters worse, the pre-game entertainment featured The Children’s Voice Chorus of Miami, with 40 children, some pre-adolescent. The kids stayed around for the game, including the halftime show’s sexual gyrations.

Fr. Hodges continued: "Around the huge choir of prepubescent girls was the symbol for female. But immodesty is not empowerment. Imagine watching that ‘family friendly’ broadcast with your little daughter. The lesson is that femininity means gyrating and thrusting your private parts toward the camera."

Morse also noted that Super Bowls generally include an upsurge of sex trafficking, including underage girls. “After giving some of the guys in Miami what amounted to a sex show, spectators were then turned loose on the streets.”

It’s estimated that each year 17,500 individuals are trafficked in the United States, 81% of them for sexual purposes.

In preparation for the Super Bowl, Miami hotel workers, ride-hailing service drivers, and security personnel were given a crash course on how to combat human trafficking. “The value of that well-intentioned training was more than offset by the sexual stimulation of the halftime show,” Morse observed.

To compliment the sleazy show, one Super Bowl ad featured drag queens, two former contestants on RuPaul’s ‘Drag Race.’ Meanwhile, Fox rejected an ad by a new group called Faces of Choice, featuring the survivors of botched abortions.

Morse commented, “While FOX insisted on inflicting drag queens hawking hummus on American families, it decided a pro-life ad – which contained nothing graphic -- was just too much for Middle America to handle.”

Morse stated, “Corporate America, including the major networks and the NFL, have shown us that they are ‘all in’ for promoting the Sexual Revolution. We call on Christian athletes, especially NFL players, to stop allowing their talent to be exploited for this purpose.”

Ruth Institute Tells Uganda: Resist Ideological Imperialism

January 7, 2020

For immediate release

For More Information: media@ruthinstitute.org.

Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., Founder and President of the Ruth Institute, warned those attending the Uganda National Youth Conference of the new colonialism of the Sexual Revolution.

Morse declared: “The old economic colonialism attempted to dominate the physical resources of the African continent. The new ideological imperialism attempts to dominate the soul of Africa.”

Morse continued: “The Sexual Revolution is not native to Africa. Wealthy and powerful people have spent vast sums of their own money to promote the Sexual Revolution.” These elites have also “captured the use of government and international agencies to impose these ideologies around the world,” especially in traditional societies.

Morse explained that the Sexual Revolution encompasses three main ideologies:

The Contraceptive Ideology – “Everyone is entitled to unlimited sexual activity without a live baby ever resulting. Abortion is the backup plan for an unwanted child.”

The Divorce Ideology – “A good society should separate both sex and babies from marriage. The underlying idea is that children do not really need to have a relationship with both of their parents. A person doesn’t have to be married to have sex or babies.”

The Gender Ideology – “Any differences we observe between men and women are socially constructed and evidence of injustice. The law and culture must eliminate all these differences.” The latest stage is “transgenderism,” meaning, “The sex of the body can be overwritten by technology and social engineering.”

Morse told Ugandans: “All of these ideas are foreign to your country. They were foreign to our country too until very recently.”

She also cautioned against using the terminology of the Sexual Revolution, which comes with built-in assumptions. For instance, “gay” assumes that those with same-sex attraction are a distinct group of people who were “born that way.” Whereas, in reality, there is no “gay gene.” “There is no scientifically established definition of the word gay.” Also, “Sexual orientation is fluid in many people, meaning that it can change.”

Morse said that the elites behind the Sexual Revolution have targeted Africa because Africans are a threat to them. “The ideologues fear your vitality and your fertility and your faith.” The new Western colonialists “want your conformity. They want your hearts and minds.”

Dr. Morse’s speech was delivered on December 12, 2019, to a national youth conference sponsored by the Diocese of Kasana-Luweero, with more than 4,600 in attendance from Congo, Kenya, and all over Uganda.

The Ruth Institute is considering future activities in Africa, including the possibility of its own events.
