Muppets Used to Indoctrinate Children in the Transgender Ideology, Ruth Inst. Charges

“Disney Junior is using popular characters to sell the transgender ideology to children,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.

In a recent episode of Disney Junior’s “Muppet Babies,” Gonzo, one of the principal male characters, announces that he wants to go to the ball as a “princess” in a dress. The other characters tell him he can’t be a princess but must go as a knight.

Gonzo’s “Fairy Rat-Father” then appears, and, with a wave of his magic wand, transforms Gonzo into Princess Gonzo-rella, attired in a ball gown and glass slippers. In the end, the formerly “transphobic” characters admit the error of their ways and tell Gonzo that from now on, everyone can decide if they want to be a princess or a knight.

“There’s nothing cute or clever about this,” Morse declared. “We know that transgender activists have targeted kids with tools like Drag Queen Story Hour. They have argued that six-year-old boys who announce they’re girls should be treated as girls, including having access to girls’ restrooms.

“Disney is trying to get children to buy into this gender dystopia. For children, cartoons can be an effective teaching tool, or source of indoctrination. I wonder how many parents, who assume that if it’s Disney, it must be wholesome, know what’s going on here?” Morse asked.

“Disney may be a powerful transmitter of ideas, but it can’t alter reality. It can’t change DNA. Even a fairy with a magic wand can’t do that,” Morse said.

The Ruth Institute has a Transgenderism Resource Guide with videos, interviews, and research reports that counter the transgender ideology with facts and logic.

There was also an emphasis on transgender activism at the Institute’s Fourth Annual Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution last month.

Ruth Inst. Survivors Summit Ruled “A Transcendent Fundamental Experience”

The Ruth Institute’s 2021 Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” came in the midst of advances by the “transgender” ideology in law, education, and government.

While the Summit covered a broad range of topics, including the medical costs of the Sexual Revolution, the worldwide decline of fertility, abortion and the black community, and resisting the corruption of education, there was a special emphasis on the role the professions play in all of these.

Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., observed: "The Sexual Revolutionaries cannot carry out their remake of society without the cooperation of numerous well-educated, highly-placed professionals. This year's Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution equipped those professionals with the tools they need to say, 'Enough! No more!' The on-line participants, the in-person participants, and those who will watch the Summit videos, will be ready to fight back."

Of the Summit, writer, teacher and victim-advocate Christa Stamper said, “Being at the Ruth Institute’s Survivors Summit felt like coming home! I left invigorated, encouraged, inspired, and better informed. I’m ready to further my work to strengthen families and advocate for those harmed by the Sexual Revolution.”

Denise Shick, author of When Hope Seems Lost: Understanding Gender Confusion, remarked, “The Survivors Summit provided a wealth of information. The speakers were compassionate and knowledgeable on the sensitive topics presented.”

Rev. Walter Hoye, Founder of Issues4Life and California Civil Rights Foundation said, “The Ruth Institute’s Summit was a transcendent, fundamental experience in accord with the all-powerful reality of truth.”

The Summit gave special attention to the transgender juggernaut, providing professionals and parents with the tools to resist. For instance, Erin Brewer, who describes herself as having been a “trans-child,” said, “So-called ‘transition’ is an experimental and harmful medical intervention. The best treatment for children suffering from gender dysphoria is puberty. Puberty is natural, no-cost, and shown to be effective in the vast majority of cases.”

Attorney Mary McAlister, Senior Litigation Counsel with Child and Parental Rights Campaign, helped parents fight back by providing participants with their School Resource Guide. She stated: “Parents and school administrators have gone from being partners in educating children, to arch enemies, as sexual revolutionaries have transformed classrooms into indoctrination centers aimed at replacing the Judeo-Christian worldview of the parents with the anti-Christian, sexually exploitative worldview of the elites.”

Morse affirmed: “This is our most important Summit to date, as we helped train those fighting the toxic gender ideology. The personal relationships forged at the Summit will unite professionals opposed to the influence of the Sexual Revolution in such organizations as the American Medical Association, American Bar Association and National Education Association.”

The Ruth Institute’s Survivors’ Summit took place in Lake Charles, LA, July 16-17. Raw footage of the event can be seen with purchase of a Virtual Conference Pass.

Last Chance for In-person Sign-ups!

The hard cut-off to attend this weekend’s Survivors’ Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” is this Wednesday, noon CT. Register now for in-person attendance in Lake Charles, LA, or for a Virtual Conference Pass.

Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said, “This will be our most important Summit to date. If you want to help reclaim the professions and gain valuable insights into the issues family activists deal with most often, this will be the place to be Friday and Saturday.”

Morse, who will give the opening address on “Confronting the Corruption of the Professions,” noted: “Once-respected professions have become megaphones for the Sexual Revolution. When it comes to issues like transgenderism, their positions are based on ideology, not science.”

The Summit will include a Friday, application-only, Ambassador’s Training Program for members of the pro-life and pro-family movements, followed by an Awards Banquet with guest speaker Rev. Walter Hoye, Founder and President of both the Issues4Life Foundation and the California Civil Rights Foundation.

The day-long Saturday conference will include:

Reclaiming the Therapeutic Professions with Fr. Paul Sullins on “Correcting the Data,” Laura Haynes of the International Federation for Therapeutic and Counseling Choice, and Susan Constantine, Uncovering Deception author and founder of the Human Behavior Lab.

Resisting the Corruption of Education with Sharon Slater, president of Family Watch International, followed by a panel on Legal Strategies for Reclaiming Education.

A Panel of Medical Professionals including Dr. Michael Parker of the Catholic Medical Association; Dr. Donna Harrison, Executive Director of the American Association of Pro-Life Ob-Gyns; and Dr. Quentin Van Meter, President of the American College of Pediatricians.

Defending the Body with Erin Brewer of Partners for Ethical Care, Fr. Sebastian Walshe of Catholic Answers, and Jackie Aguilar on“Natural Womanhood.”

Putting the Pieces Together: Equipping the Pro-life Movement to Confront Trans-Minded Clients with radio show host Jim Havens moderating, de-transitioner Walt Heyer on defending the body and helping the vulnerable, therapist Erin Brewer on the psychology of the trans-minded client, and attorney Jane Robbins on the trans suicide issue.

Surviving the Sexual Revolution with Katy Faust of Them Before Us, Rev. Walter Hoye on what the sexual revolution has done to the Black community, and Denise Shick on being the daughter of a trans father.

“I’m very proud of the team we have assembled for this year’s Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution,” Morse said. “The Sexual Revolutionaries count on people being isolated in their fields, but the same problems are common across many professions, including law, medicine, therapy, and education.”

Pro-Family/Pro-Life leaders and activists still have an opportunity to participate in the Summit and benefit from the wealth of expert input by registering for a Virtual Conference Pass, if not in person by signing up before this Wednesday at noon CT.

Reclaiming Therapeutic Professions a Key Topic at Ruth Inst. Summit

Reclaiming Therapeutic Professions a Key Topic at Ruth Inst. Summit

How the therapeutic professions have become a handmaiden for the Sexual Revolution will highlight the Ruth Institute 2021 Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA.

“Therapy has become politicized. Therapists have turned from science to dogma,” said Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D. “Is it really out of the question for a person who once identified as ‘gay’ or ‘lesbian’ to choose a different identity or way of life?"

The session on “Reclaiming the Therapeutic Professions” will feature these experts:

Dr. Laura Haynes retired from psychological clinical practice after more than 40 years. She now speaks and writes about same-sex attraction and discordant gender-sex identity change. She served on the board of the International Federation for Therapeutic and Counseling Choice and chaired a committee of the National Task Force for Therapy Equality. Dr. Haynes worked on research for the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity and was a consultant for the American College of Pediatricians. She also served as president the Christian Association for Psychological Studies, Western Region. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the American Psychological Association.

Susan Constantine, MPsy, has more than 17 years’ experience analyzing jurors, witnesses, and suspects. She has consulted as the human behavior expert for some of the world’s most noteworthy trials, including George Floyd, Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby, and Jerry Sandusky. She has appeared in over 1,000 national and international television programs such as CNN, Fox, Dateline 20/20, Dr. Phil, Dr. Drew, Discovery Channel, Good Morning America, and The Today Show. She has published in the Washington Post, Capitol Hill, New York Times, and the New York Post. She has trained FBI and Homeland Security agents, The Department of Defense Inspector General, Federal Court Judicial Law Judges and attorneys in hundreds of private law firms on how to read facial expressions, emotions, and body language, and how to detect deception and emotional/cognitive processing. Her masterclass, “How to Spot a Liar in 7 Seconds or Less,” releases this month.

Fr. Paul Sullins, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Associate of the Ruth Institute. He recently retired as a Professor of Sociology at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Dr. Sullins is a leader in the field of research on same-sex parenting and its implications for child development. He has written four books and over 100 journal articles, research reports, and essays on issues of family, faith, and culture. His reports on clerical sexual abuse from the Pennsylvania Grand Jury data, John Jay data, LA Times, and other sources have garnered international acclaim.

“Is it impossible to believe a person who experiences same-sex attraction might not want to act on those feelings?” Morse asked. “Yet, to the guardians of the therapeutic professions, this is the new taboo. If the Sexual Revolutionaries have their way, therapists will be legally forbidden to assist clients who want to change. At the Summit, we will discuss the growing body of evidence that people can change their patterns of attractions and behaviors.”

Attendance at the “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family” Summit can be in person or on-line with a Virtual Conference Pass.

Ruth Inst. Summit to Reclaim Medical Professions

Ruth Inst. Summit to Reclaim Medical Professions

Of all of the professions captured by the Sexual Revolution, the medical profession can do the most harm. At the Ruth Institute’s Survivors’ Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA,the Medical Professionals Panel is of vital importance.

Ruth Inst. President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., explained, “Untold damage is being done by groups like the American Medical Association in advancing the agenda of the Sexual Revolution.”

In June, the AMA said sex should be removed from birth certificates: “Designating sex on birth certificates as male or female… perpetuates the view that sex designation is permanent and fails to recognize the medical spectrum of gender identity.” It also “risks stifling an individual’s self-expression and self-identification and contributes to marginalization and minoritization.”

Morse responded: “The AMA is following non-science by endorsing the notion that sex is fluid and can change based on an individual’s whims. In reality, the sex you were born with is the sex you’ll have for the rest of your life, regardless of what you choose to do to your body.”

The panel at the Survivors Summit consists of three distinguished physicians:

  • Dr. Michael S. Parker, MD, KM, is the System Medical Director for OB/GYN at Hospitalists Mount Carmel in Columbus, Ohio. He is also President of the Catholic Medical Association. He has spoken nationally and internationally on a variety of topics, including family planning, infertility, and the side effects of contraception.
  • Dr. Quentin Van Meter, MD, FCP, President of the American College of Pediatricians, has a long history of advocating for children in the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is continually frustrated by the political bent of the National AAP, which is why he switched his affiliation to the ACPeds. Now he continues to work for children and families without being hampered by political correctness.

“These physicians are eminently well-qualified to discuss the dangers of politically correct advocacy by medical associations on issues such as transgenderism,” Morse said. “It’s high time for caring professionals grounded in the Hippocratic tradition to reclaim organizations such as the AMA and AAP.”

Attendance at the “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family” Summit can be in person or on-line with a Virtual Conference Pass. Early Bird registration pricing ends today, July 6.

Fighting School Corruption a Part of Ruth Inst. Summit

The Ruth Institute’s Fourth Annual Survivors’ Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA, will include panels on the corruption of education through sexual indoctrination and the transgender ideology.

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said, “Each week seems to bring a new revelation about public and private schools indoctrinating children in the Sexual Revolution. In June, the prestigious Dalton School in New York City showed 6-year-olds a cartoon of children discussing masturbation.”

It’s a tenet if the Sexual Revolution that children can’t be sexualized too early,” Morse said. “They’re grooming these kids for exploitation later in life.”

The Ruth Institute Summit will include a talk on “Resisting the Corruption of Education” by Family Watch International President Sharon Slater, and a session on “Legal Strategies for Reclaiming Education” with Maria Keffler, co-founder of Partners for Ethical Care, and Mary McAlister, Esq., Senior Litigation Counsel with the Child & Parental Rights Campaign.

Slater is also the chair of the UN Family Rights Caucus. She has directed multiple widely-acclaimed documentaries, including The War on Children: The Comprehensive Sexuality Education Agenda.

Keffler is also co-founder of the Arlington Parent Coalition and the author of Desist, Detrans & Detox: Getting Your Child Out of the Gender Cult. Keffler writes: “Blindsided when a child suddenly announces a transgender identity, a growing cadre of parents have found themselves under assault by an insidious predator: the billion-dollar gender industry.”

McAlister has advocated for parental rights at all levels of federal and state courts for nearly three decades. She has a passion for protecting the innocence of children and has been an advocate for children’s rights, particularly protection from the harms of early sexualization and sexual exploitation.

Morse said, “American schools have become indoctrination cells. Schools belong to parents and taxpayers, not the teachers’ unions, and certainly not Planned Parenthood and various LGBTQ groups. It’s time we reclaimed what’s rightfully ours and moved to protect the innocence of our children.”

Attendance to the “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family” Summit can be in person or on-line with a Virtual Conference Pass. Early Bird registration pricing ends July 6.

Why We Must Reclaim the Professions for Life and Family

Why We Must Reclaim the Professions for Life and Family

“Doctors say they don’t know when life begins. Therapists’ associations try to prohibit talk therapy. The education establishment uses schools to promote Sexual Revolutionary propaganda,” said Ruth institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D. “This is why our Summit, Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family, is so essential.”

The Ruth Institute’s 4th Annual Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution will take place July 16-17 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Registration for the Ambassadors Program, the Awards Dinner, and the all-day Summit, including a Virtual Conference Pass, can be found here.

Morse observed, “Whether it’s the American Medical Association, the American Bar Association, the National Education Association or the American Library Association, the story is always the same: leave no stone unturned in advancing the agenda of sexual radicals.”

For example:

  • In June, the American Medical Association said sex should be removed from birth certificates. “Designating sex on birth certificates as male or female… perpetuates the view that sex designation is permanent and fails to recognize the medical spectrum of gender identity.” It also “risks stifling an individual’s self-expression and self-identification and contributes to marginalization and minoritization.”
  • In March, the American Bar Association announced, “Transgender youth are under attack” when “trans females” aren’t allowed to compete in women’s sports, stating, “Exclusionary laws and policies not only impact the ability of transgender students to participate in sports, but also to experience the solidarity and inclusion that participation affords.”
  • In its 2016 “Legal Guidance on Transgender Students’ Rights,” the National Education Association said, “Denying equal access to gender-appropriate facilities (such as locker rooms and restrooms) for students who are transgender violates Title IX. It is essential for them to be able to live in accordance with their internal gender identity in all aspects of life, and restroom usage is a necessary part of that experience.”
  • The American Library Association maintains that Drag Queen Story Hour creates “a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive society… This includes a commitment to combating marginalization and under-representation within the communities served by libraries… by sponsoring a program or event featuring drag queens reading stories to children.”

Morse responded: “If these esteemed professional associations have their way, women athletes will be compelled to compete against biological males, women and girls will be forced to share restrooms, showers and changing rooms with males who say they’re women, parents will no longer be able to designate their child’s sex on birth certificates, and those who object to having men in drag read stories to their children will be pilloried as hateful and bigoted.

"Christian professionals are under enormous pressure to conform to ideas directly at odds with their faith and the evidence of their own eyes. We planned this Summit for people of faith who need ammunition and encouragement in this daily battle for sanity."

The Ruth Institute’s Summit will include sessions on Confronting the Corruption of the Professions, Reclaiming the Therapeutic Professions, and Legal Strategies for Reclaiming Education, as well as a Panel of Medical Professionals.

No One is Entitled to a Child, but Every Child Deserves Two Parents

No One is Entitled to a Child, but Every Child Deserves Two Parents

In the June 15 New York Times article, “I Did I.V.F. Without a Partner. It Shouldn’t Have Been So Hard,” author Alicia Lombardini described the emotional burden and expense of getting pregnant alone at age 42 after having had two abortions.

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., responded, “Having a child is not an entitlement. Nor is it a right like freedom of speech or religion. Every child does, however, have a right to know his or her genetic identity and cultural heritage. All children have a right to a relationship with their natural mother and father, except for an unavoidable tragedy. Donor conception violates these rights of children.

“This is an avoidable tragedy that would not be possible without the collusion of medical professionals, insurance companies and most of all, the law. The law of parenthood says that the gamete donor is a legal stranger to the child. Without this legally enforceable promise of anonymity, no woman would purchase sperm from a sperm bank, and no man would make a deposit.

“The emotional costs for children growing up in a fatherless family are great,” Morse said. “They won’t have a male role model at home. They won’t experience a father’s love or learn the proper ways in which a husband and wife relate to each other. A child in a single-parent family is more likely to have emotional problems than their counterparts in two-parent homes.”

Morse continued: “Sometimes, single parenting is unavoidable. But for a woman to intentionally bring a child into the world with this burden is unconscionable.”

When the Ruth Institute launched its Fatherhood Resource Center earlier this month, Morse said, “From before birth, through the rest of the child’s life, fathers are essential to the well-being of their children.”

Katy Faust, Founder and Director of Them Before Us, added: “In stories like these, adult desire is conveniently framed as a ‘right.’ In this story, it’s Lombardini’s ‘right to be a mother.’ But, as is always the case, framing adult desires as ‘rights’ results in children losing their actual rights. In this case, it’s Lombardini’s son who is denied his right to be known, loved, and raised by his own father. No one has a right to parenthood, and no one owes you a child. Rather, all children have a right to their own mother and father.”

Faust’s book, Them Before Us, will receive the Book of the Year award at the Ruth Institute’s 4th Annual Survivors’ Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA.

Ruth Inst. Launches Resource Center on the Necessity of Fathers

“From before the moment of birth, through the rest of the child’s life, fathers are essential to the well-being of their children,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D. “Unfortunately today, fathers are mocked and treated as unimportant.”

To combat this mentality, and in honor of Father’s Day, the Ruth Institute launched the Fatherhood Resource Center, which provides:

Research, such as “A Father’s Role in Raising Resilient Children” by Dr. John Mayer, a clinical psychologist, author and consultant. “While both parents have an important role to play in helping children grow and thrive, a father’s relationship with his children is especially important in fostering their sense of resilience.”

A video tribute by Rev. Walter Hoye to his father, which highlights the good fathers do for their families. Hoye is the Founder and President of both the Issues4Life Foundation and the California Civil Rights Foundation. He is the founder of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of California, an Executive Member of the National Black Pro-life Coalition, and a member of the Ruth Institute Board of Directors. Rev. Hoye will be our keynote speaker at the 2021 Summit Awards dinner.

Media, like “Are Fathers Worth Celebrating? Research about Dads,” a conversation with Dr. Tim Rarick, professor of Marriage, Family and Child Development at BYU, Idaho. “Feminists put men and women in opposition to each other… Modern feminism is producing beta males who don’t know how to take the initiative, how to take responsibility, protect, and be a gentleman, how to lovingly lead, how to channel healthy masculinity.”

Personal Recollections, such as “Do your best. Others are depending on you,” and other lessons Steve M. learned from his WWII bomber pilot father. “Dad taught me that all squadron personnel were told repeatedly, ‘Do your best. Others are depending on you,’ and that I should do my best for the same reason. I once asked Dad if he was ever afraid in World War II. He immediately answered, “Never! When there was a problem, I got serious and focused on how to solve it.” Dad’s advice helped me when at age 43, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.”

Resources, like “Building a Better Fatherhood: Self-giving love is the best foundation for family life” by Scott Yenor, professor of Political Science at Boise State University. “Cultural support for fatherhood has collapsed in the past 50 years, and there are few signs of renewal… The mission of fathers is two-fold: To love their wives and commit to providing for the total welfare of their children. Each of these requires from men a conscious attitude of self-giving love.”

“The elite idolize single mothers,” Morse noted. “But what about the father who marries the mother of his children? What about the father who puts responsibility ahead of self-gratification? What about the father who sticks through thick and thin, through good times and bad, who understand the importance of men who are dads to the future?

“Our Fatherhood Resource Center celebrates their sacrifices and explains why they are so essential for raising the next generation to be responsible, caring adults.”

The Ruth Institute’s Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions from the Sexual Revolution,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA, will include presentations on the medical and psychological aspects of transgenderism, and how the professions are being corrupted by a pernicious ideology masquerading as a civil rights movement.
