Top 10 Reasons to Attend Ruth Inst. Survivors’ Summit

The Ruth Institute’s Survivors’ Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, is the premiere event for leaders, activists and professionals fighting the Sexual Revolution.

This one-of-a-kind Summit brings together experts, witnesses and activists from a diverse range of professional and personal backgrounds.

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said, “The Sexual Revolution has harmed millions who are systematically silenced by the mainstream culture. Children of Divorce, Post-Abortive Women, Refugees from the Hook-up culture or the LGBT subculture, those impacted by the ‘transgender’ ideology -- these and countless others have effectively been made socially invisible. Yet, if their stories were known, more people would understand the tremendous harm the Sexual Revolution has done, and the danger it poses to our future.”

Here are the Top 10 Reasons to attend the Ruth Institute’s Summit:

1. Learn to protect children from the Transgender movement – the latest attack on families and our culture based on the fiction that people can change their sex.

2. Discover how professionals can break the Sexual Revolution’s hold on medicine, education, law and media.

3. Get training to become an effective advocate for the family at our Ambassadors Program preceding the Summit.

4. Be inspired by stories such as that of Rev. Walter Hoye, the keynote speaker of the Friday Awards Dinner and author of the book, Black and Pro-life in America.

5. Learn the devastating impact of world-wide declining fertility, known as Demographic Winter, on a growing number of nations, including the US.

6. Celebrate the achievements of award winners, like our Activist of the Year, Sharon Slater, President of Family Watch International.

7. Learn why kids really do need their parents, from Book of the Year award recipient, Katy Faust, founder of Them Before Us.

8. Forge lasting relationships with allies you can count on.

9. Rest and recharge in a welcoming atmosphere.

10. Enjoy down-home Cajun cooking, the best food in America!

“We hope members of the pro-life and pro-family movements, as well as activists working on their own, will explore all we have to offer at our Survivors’ Summit,” Morse said.

Participants can attend in person or by live streaming with a Virtual Conference Pass. The Ambassadors Training Program can be attended through a brief application process.

The Ruth Institute is a global non-profit organization, leading an international interfaith coalition to defend the family and build a civilization of love.

Ruth Inst. Launches Resource Center on the Necessity of Fathers

“From before the moment of birth, through the rest of the child’s life, fathers are essential to the well-being of their children,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D. “Unfortunately today, fathers are mocked and treated as unimportant.”

To combat this mentality, and in honor of Father’s Day, the Ruth Institute launched the Fatherhood Resource Center, which provides:

Research, such as “A Father’s Role in Raising Resilient Children” by Dr. John Mayer, a clinical psychologist, author and consultant. “While both parents have an important role to play in helping children grow and thrive, a father’s relationship with his children is especially important in fostering their sense of resilience.”

A video tribute by Rev. Walter Hoye to his father, which highlights the good fathers do for their families. Hoye is the Founder and President of both the Issues4Life Foundation and the California Civil Rights Foundation. He is the founder of the Frederick Douglass Foundation of California, an Executive Member of the National Black Pro-life Coalition, and a member of the Ruth Institute Board of Directors. Rev. Hoye will be our keynote speaker at the 2021 Summit Awards dinner.

Media, like “Are Fathers Worth Celebrating? Research about Dads,” a conversation with Dr. Tim Rarick, professor of Marriage, Family and Child Development at BYU, Idaho. “Feminists put men and women in opposition to each other… Modern feminism is producing beta males who don’t know how to take the initiative, how to take responsibility, protect, and be a gentleman, how to lovingly lead, how to channel healthy masculinity.”

Personal Recollections, such as “Do your best. Others are depending on you,” and other lessons Steve M. learned from his WWII bomber pilot father. “Dad taught me that all squadron personnel were told repeatedly, ‘Do your best. Others are depending on you,’ and that I should do my best for the same reason. I once asked Dad if he was ever afraid in World War II. He immediately answered, “Never! When there was a problem, I got serious and focused on how to solve it.” Dad’s advice helped me when at age 43, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.”

Resources, like “Building a Better Fatherhood: Self-giving love is the best foundation for family life” by Scott Yenor, professor of Political Science at Boise State University. “Cultural support for fatherhood has collapsed in the past 50 years, and there are few signs of renewal… The mission of fathers is two-fold: To love their wives and commit to providing for the total welfare of their children. Each of these requires from men a conscious attitude of self-giving love.”

“The elite idolize single mothers,” Morse noted. “But what about the father who marries the mother of his children? What about the father who puts responsibility ahead of self-gratification? What about the father who sticks through thick and thin, through good times and bad, who understand the importance of men who are dads to the future?

“Our Fatherhood Resource Center celebrates their sacrifices and explains why they are so essential for raising the next generation to be responsible, caring adults.”

The Ruth Institute’s Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions from the Sexual Revolution,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA, will include presentations on the medical and psychological aspects of transgenderism, and how the professions are being corrupted by a pernicious ideology masquerading as a civil rights movement.

What Impact Will Jenner’s Candidacy Have, Ruth Inst. Asks

Ruth Institute President, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., says the gubernatorial candidacy of Bruce (who calls himself Caitlyn) Jenner is a step toward normalizing transgenderism--the delusion that someone can change their sex by “identifying” with the opposite sex.

“The establishment has declared the debate over,” Morse said. “That’s far from the case. Transgenderism is a lie that’s exerting an increasingly corrupting influence on our society. Reputations are being ruined and voices silenced by a refusal to acquiesce to this latest offensive of the Sexual Revolution.

“Children are being used as lab rats and students indoctrinated. In Biden’s military, even the troops are brainwashed. Anyone who objects to this denial of reality is branded a bigot and persecuted relentlessly,” Morse charged.

Jenner was recently interviewed on a FOX Nation show hosted by Tomi Lahren. Lahren praised what she called Jenner’s conservative positions and said a celebrity had a better chance to replace current California Governor Gavin Newsom, who faces a recall election.

Morse said, "Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Men's Olympic Decathlon winner, has stated that he does not think it is fair for women and girls to compete in athletic competitions with men who say they are women. I'm glad to hear that. That is decent of him. But, there are many other horrors hiding behind Jenner's skirts: the medicalization of children, the promotion of Gender Ideology in schools, and parents losing their rights and ability to protect their children from ideological predators. We shall be waiting for Jenner's statements on these issues.

"In no case should the Republican Party or Fox News be giving this man a platform. There is nothing 'conservative' about undermining the basic understanding of the male-female biological structure of the human race."

Reclaim the Health and Education of Youth at the Ruth Inst. Summit

The Ruth Institute’s Fourth Annual Survivors’ Summit theme is “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family.” The Summit, July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA, will provide training to counter the corruption of professions involved with the health and education of youth.

Ruth Institute president Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., explained: “Once-respected professions have become megaphones for the Sexual Revolution. When it comes to issues like transgenderism, their positions are based on ideology, not science.” Morse will give the opening address on “Confronting the Corruption of the Professions.”

The day-long conference will include:

Reclaiming the Therapeutic Professions with Fr. Paul Sullins on “Correcting the Data,” and Laura Haynes of the International Federation for Therapeutic and Counseling Choice.

Resisting the Corruption of Education by Sharon Slater of Family Watch International, followed by a panel on Legal Strategies for Reclaiming Education.

A Panel of Medical Professionals including Dr. Michael Parker of Catholic Medical Association and Dr. Donna Harrison, Executive Director of the American Association of Pro-Life Ob-Gyns.

Defending the Body with Erin Brewer of Partners for Ethical Care and Fr. Sebastian Walshe of Catholic Answers.

Equipping the Pro-Life Movement to Confront Trans-minded Clients, with a therapist on trans-psychology and an attorney on the trans suicide issue.

Surviving the Sexual Revolution, a panel including Maritza Cummings, a “desister,” who transitioned from female to male, and then transitioned back.

The Summit will also include a day-long, application-only Ambassador’s Training Program for members of the pro-life and pro-family movements, and an Awards Banquet with guest speaker Rev. Walter Hoye, Founder and President of both the Issues4Life Foundation and the California Civil Rights Foundation.

“I’m very proud of the team we have assembled for this year’s Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution,” Morse said. “The Sexual Revolutionaries count on people being isolated in their own fields, but the problems are common across many professions. Doctors, therapists, educators and attorneys who are distraught over the direction their professions are headed, should plan to be in Lake Charles, Louisiana, July 16-17. You will see that you are not alone in your beliefs.”

China’s Fertility Point of No Return

China’s Fertility Point of No Return

On China now allowing three children per family, Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., said, “In terms of falling fertility, China has probably passed the point of no-return. But it should still end all controls on family size. Government has no business telling families how many children they can have.”

Morse explained: “China’s Malthusian one-child policy went into effect in 1979. Besides bringing with it the horrors of forced abortion and sterilizations, the policy led to plummeting fertility.

“China now has a fertility rate of 1.3. With 2.1 needed to replace current population, sometime in this century, China’s population will begin declining. Once it starts, decline could become free fall.

“Once famous for its teeming masses, the nation is already experiencing a greying population and a growing shortage of workers. The toll this will take on China’s economy is hard to even imagine.”

In 2016, China modified its one-child policy to two, but by then the damage had been done. The age-old connection of the Chinese people to large families was broken. Even though they now can have up to three children, many urban families are still opting for only one child.

“The new 3-child policy is only for members of the Han majority,” Morse noted. “Beijing is still working to slash the population of the Muslim Uyghurs with coercive abortion and contraception.”

As a sociology student in China in 1979-80, Steven Mosher was the first to expose the horrors committed by the regime to limit family size. He spoke about this in a Dr. J Show interview.

Morse recently commented on The New York Times finally admitting the implications of falling fertility.

The worldwide impact of Demographic Winter will be discussed at the Ruth Institute’s 2021 Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA.

Actresses Traumatized by Nude Scenes are Both Victims and Perpetrators

Actresses Traumatized by Nude Scenes are Both Victims and Perpetrators

“A spate of high-profile Hollywood actresses have recently revealed that appearing nude on screen traumatized them. But the Sexual Revolution promised that such anxiety could be eliminated if we were just ‘sex-positive’ enough. We were told that everyone would be happier if we would just overturn our antiquated taboos. The heartfelt cry of these actresses shows that this is simply not true,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.

These vocal actresses include Selma Hayek, Kate Winslet, Nicole Kidman, and Reese Witherspoon.

  • Of her nude love scene in “Desperado,” Selma Hayek said, “I started to sob and kept saying, ‘I don’t know that I can do it.’”
  • Kate Winslet disclosed: “I hate it… It’s a profoundly bizarre thing to do… really sort of unethical if you think about it.”
  • Nicole Kidman admitted: “I felt very exposed and vulnerable and deeply humiliated… I was just lying there sort of broken and crying.”
  • Of the sex scenes in the movie “Wild,” Reese Witherspoon confessed: “I started to panic... I was just terrified.”

Morse responded: “These aren’t vulnerable starlets but seasoned professionals. They wrongly thought their fame could insulate them from this sort of exploitation. Instead, the studios saw it as an opportunity to improve their profits by catering to base appetites.

“Often the nude scenes weren’t in the script but were sprung on the actresses while on set. Could they have refused? Of course. Could they have made these revelations sooner? I wish they had. But people are not at their most reasonable when they have been traumatized,” Morse said.

The Ruth Institute has been a consistent and outstanding voice for the protection of sexual abuse victims, with interviews with several therapists specializing in their care, and providing platforms, such as The Dr. J Show, and the Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution, for the victims themselves.

“The ideology of the Sexual Revolution insists that feeling shame over nudity is one of those outdated taboos we should all strive to get over. This view is very convenient for persuading victims to silence themselves,” Morse explained. “Harvey Weinstein, a convicted Hollywood predator, is the tip of the iceberg.

“Hollywood is a classic example of the corruption of the professions in a sex-saturated culture – partly for profit and in part because they’ve bought into the ideology of the Sexual Revolution, like so many other professions. At the Ruth Institute’s Summit for Survivors of the Sexual Revolution, we’ll be talking about how education, medicine and law have been corrupted.”

The Ruth Institute’s 2021 Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family” will take place July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA.

Ruth Inst. Awards Banquet to Celebrate Courageous Pro-Life/ Pro-Family Leaders

The Ruth Institute’s 4th Annual Summit, “Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family,” July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA, kicks off with an Awards Banquet.

“This banquet honors heroic leaders and authors who shine the light of truth on the Sexual Revolution,” said Ruth Institute President Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D.

The Book of the Year Award will be received by Katy Faust, co-author of Them Before Us. Published in February 2021, Them Before Us dispels prevalent, harmful myths concerning children’s rights, including:

  • Kids only need love and safety – moms and dads are optional.
  • Love makes a family – biology is irrelevant.
  • Children are resilient and will “get over” divorce.

Faust was a recent guest on the Ruth Inst’s weekly Dr. J Show, discussing why children shouldn’t be forced to sacrifice their happiness for their parents.

Sharon Slater, president of Family Watch International, will receive the Activist of the Year Award. Slater also chairs the UN Family Rights Caucus and is the author of Stand for the Family: A Call to Responsible Citizenship, which contains research on many sensitive topics, including human sexuality.

Slater was also a recent guest on the Dr. J. Show, discussing the UN’s insane sex-ed program.

The night’s keynote speaker, Rev. Walter Hoye, will receive the Witness of the Year Award. In 2009, Rev. Hoye was convicted of protesting at an abortion clinic in Oakland, CA, in violation of the city’s “bubble law.” He was offered a lesser sentence of community service if he agreed to never return to the clinic, but he refused and spent 30 days in jail until his conviction was overturned.

This experience is the subject of his book, Black and Pro-life in America, The Incarceration and Exoneration of Walter B. Hoye.

In a Dr. J Show interview, he discussed why abortion is the most difficult conversation to have with African Americans.

Following the July 16 Awards Banquet is the Survivors’ Summit on July 17. Find more information and register for these events here.

Ruth Inst. Summit Stresses Reclaiming Professions from the S*xual Revolution

The theme of the Ruth Institute’s Fourth Annual Summit (July 16-17 in Lake Charles, LA) is Reclaiming the Professions for Life and Family.

Ruth Institute President Dr. Jenifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., explained: “In recent years, the professions most intimately involved with the health and education of youth have been corrupted by the Sexual Revolution. Doctors follow the myth that people can be born in the wrong body and are willing to surgically remove healthy body parts. Schools are indoctrinating children in the anti-science notion that individuals aren’t the sex they are born with but the one they choose.

“Professionals who dare to speak out are often ostracized, stigmatized and punished,” Morse added.

Summit speakers and panelists include physicians, therapists and teachers, as well as researchers and activists. “These professionals have devoted their lives to education and medicine, and now lament how the Sexual Revolution has come to dominate their professions,” Morse said.

Sessions will include: “Resisting the Corruption of Education,” “Legal Strategies for Reclaiming Education,” “Organizing Therapists,” and “Surviving the Sexual Revolution.”

Morse remarked, “Parents, activists, and professionals will receive the tools they need to reclaim these professions and prevent the mistreatment and miseducation of generations of youth.”

The first day of the Summit will be devoted to the Ruth Institute’s Ambassadors Training Program for leaders and activists. An awards banquet will follow.

A full list of speakers and a complete schedule is forthcoming.
