Robert Gagnon, Ph.D


Robert A. J. Gagnon, Ph.D., has a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College, an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is the author of “The Bible and Homosexual Practice: Texts and Hermeneutics” (Nashville: Abingdon Press, 2001); co-author (with Dan O. Via) of “Homosexuality and the Bible: Two Views” (Minneapolis: Fortress Press, 2003); and author of a number of articles in scholarly journals and of major entries in encyclopedias having to do with various subjects relating to the Bible and early Christianity. As a service to the church Dr. Gagnon provides on his website at many articles on the subject of Scripture and homosexuality. He also served as Associate Professor of New Testament at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
