Jenet Erickson, Ph.D


Jenet Jacob Erickson teaches in the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University. Before coming to BYU, she completed a Ph.D. in Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota, and a fellowship with The Heritage Foundation in Washington D.C. where she studied the well- being of mothers and children. Prior to her Ph.D. she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in Linguistics-TESOL. She is the fifth child in a family of 11 children. She and her husband Michael finally found one another when they were both 33 years old and were married in 2009. They feel blessed to be the parents of a two-year-old daughter, LaDawn.
