This blog is maintained by the Ruth Institute. It provides a place for our Circle of Experts to express themselves. This is where the scholars, experts, students and followers of the Ruth Institute engage in constructive dialogue about the issues surrounding the Sexual Revolution. We discuss public policy, social practices, legal doctrines and much more.
Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D., founder and president of the Ruth Institute, will be the keynote speaker at the annual Pro-Life Action Ministries banquet September 28. The title of her talk, to be held at the University of St Thomas in St. Paul, MN, is “The Pro-Life Movement: Combating the Sexual Revolution on the Frontlines.”
Pro-Life Action Ministries offers women entering abortion facilities options of hope by ministering to them from sidewalks and encouraging them to choose life for their children.
Dr. Morse has a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester and has taught economics at Yale and George Mason University. Before starting the Ruth Institute, she was a campaign spokeswoman for California’s winning Proposition 8 ballot initiative, which defined marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
She is the author of six books on marriage, family and human sexuality. Her latest is: The Sexual State: How Elite Ideologies are Destroying Lives, and Why the Church Was Right All Along(2018).
Dr. Morse and her husband are the parents of an adopted child and a birth child. They were foster parents to eight children in San Diego County, CA, before moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana, the new headquarters of the Ruth Institute, in 2015.
The Ruth Institute is a global non-profit organization equipping Christians to defend the family and build a civilization of love.
