Welcome to the Ruth Institute podcast page! This is one of my favorite places on the entire site! Here we've collected recordings of my speeches, interviews, and other programs for you to enjoy. Some of these podcasts are from live lecture halls, speeches or rallies. Others are from radio interviews. In all cases, you receive the benefit of the Ruth Institute knowledge and experience on all issues relating to the Sexual Revolution.

(February 17, 2013) Dr J's in Iowa at the moment; this is her talk to a group of Catholic students from Iowa State. They discussed marriage, family, careers, and children, among other things. Dr J also took questions afterward--check out the Ruth Refuge podcasts for the Q&A part of the session.
The Ruth Institute is gearing up for its annual conference, It Takes a Family to Raise a Village, in San Diego. This year's conference runs from May 30 to June 3. Application deadline is March 15. To find out more and to apply, visit www.ruthinstitute.org/ITAF13.

(October 10, 2012) Dr. J and Austin Muck, are guests of Sheila Liaugminas on Relevant Radio's "A Closer Look." They're discussing the essential public purpose of marriage--why government is involved in the institution at all. Austin interned at the Ruth Institute as part of the Alliance Defending Freedom's Blackstone Legal Fellowship.

(August 29, 2012) Dr J and Dr Gary Gates participate in a debate on the definition of marriage at UCLA. Dr. J, of course, is founding president of the Ruth Institute; Dr. Gates is a research associate at the Williams Institute at UCLA, a public policy research organization. (February 7, 2012) In this debate at the University of Houston, cohosted by the Federalist Society and Outlaw, Dr J squares off against Mitchell Katine over the definition of marriage. Dr J, of course, is founding president of the Ruth Institute. Mitchell Katine was the local attorney for John Lawrence of the Lawrence v Texas decision, which overturned all sodomy statutes in the U.S.Listen

(September 26, 2011) Dr J hosts "From the Front Lines of the Culture War" on Catholic Radio of San Diego. Today she's interviewing Dr. Michael Brown, Messianic Jewish scholar and author of 20 books, the latest of which is "A Queer Thing Happened to America," which is the subject of their discussion.

(October 4, 2011) Baylor Law School hosts a debate between Dr J and Manuel Quinto-Pozos, former staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union, on the definition of marriage. The debate was hosted by the Federalist Society and the Baylor American Constitution Society.

(October 3, 2011) Southern Methodist University hosts a debate between Dr J (invited by the Federalist Society) and Lorie Burch, Dallas attorney (invited by OutLaw) on the legal definition of marriage.

(February 2, 2010) Dr J travels to Stanford University, where she and Yaron Brook (of the Ayn Rand Institute) debate the question "Is Capitalism Compatible with Christianity?" Some of the issues they explore include the definitions of reason and faith, human nature, individualism, freedom, Catholic teaching over a period of several centuries, the definition of capitalism, and the phenomena of love and altruism.
