The “Love and Life in the Divine Plan and in Real Life” conference was a huge success! It was so great to have all of you! Not only did we have fabulous lectures. Not only did we have 200 of you enthusiastic attendees. Not only did we announce the winners of the Reel Love Video Challenge. But in addition to all that, Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) the global Catholic TV network sent a camera crew over from Birmingham to record the entire conference!
The conference will be part of the “EWTN on Location” series that the network shows periodically. Our friends at EWTN tell us they expect to begin by showing my lecture, “Same Sex Unions and Artificial Reproductive Technology” in June. The other lectures will air one per month, after June. Eventually, EWTN will create a 6 DVD set of all the lectures. We will keep you posted! Maybe you'll see yourself on TV!
As an organization that attempts to create a positive social and intellectual climate for marriage among young adults, the Ruth Institute is attempting to understand the kind of impacts these conferences have on attendees, and gather other feedback.
