American Catholics have the idea that they have to keep the moral teachings of our faith out of the public square, so we don’t “impose” our values on others. But is the government really neutral in matters of marriage, family and sex? Does the government already have a set of policies that go far beyond simply allowing each person to choose their own values and behavior?
Dr. J interviews Robert Patterson of the Family Research Council and editor of The Family in America, who has his finger on the pulse of the federal government’s wholesale creation of a new code of sexual ethics.
Listen to Dr. J and Robert Patterson as they discuss these crucial issues:
- The policy revolutions of the 1960s that displaced the two parent family as the social ideal
- How the federal government's birth-control campaign is anything but neutral
- How the federal government actively subsidizes the use of birth control and sexual education
- How these policies which claim to protect women and women’s health are a ruse for a moral agenda
- How these policies have backfired
- How Roe v. Wade fits into the larger issue of the federal “sex policy”
- And much more!
