Our first annual Survivors' Summit (following directly on the heels of this year's awards dinner) was a roaring success! Thanks to everyone who attended. Mark your calendars with the dates of this year's Summit: July 17-19, 2020.

Our Awards Dinner and Survivors' Summit this past weekend blew me away. People traveled in from across Louisiana, from Texas, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Virginia. For a brief recap of the event, check out this article by Thomas Drake at Tradition, Family, Property (TFP), Louisiana.

We kicked off the festivities with an awards dinner on Friday evening. In addition to keynote speaker Moira Greyland Peat's incredible testimony and perspective, "The Last Closet," we gave out our customary awards: Dr. Robert Gagnon won our 2019 Scholarship Award for his writings, research, and clearly-articulated defenses of the Biblical positions on marriage and life issues. Mr. Jeff Morgan won our 2019 Activism Award for his work on divorce reform. Finally, Ms. Moira Greyland won our Public Witness Award for her bravery and candor in sharing her experiences.

Our live stream audience exceeded our expectations. Some of the videos on our Facebook page have already have thousands of views. The presentations from Friday night are also archived on our YouTube channel.

We forged great relationships with our special guests, Ann Kioko from Kenya and Rebekah Ali-Gouveia from Trinidad. We look forward to collaborating on future endeavors with these dynamic activists.

It was heartening, too, to see relationships being built among our guests and speakers. These friendships will surely bear lasting fruit for the pro-family movement.

Our live-stream had some hiccups the first night, but were corrected the next day. The recording of the Summit lectures and panels went fine. You can watch these now on our YouTube channel.

"How No-Fault Divorce Empowers the State," Dr. Stephen Baskerville
"The Lifelong Impact of Divorce on Children," Leila Miller
Reluctantly Divorced Panelists: Christy Fitzgerald, Allen Chlupacek, and Kristi Davis
Divorce Reform Panelists: Jeff Morgan, Chris Brennan, and Matthew Johnston
Dr J on Fidelity and "Standers"

"What the Bible Really Teaches about Homosexuality," Dr Robert Gagnon
"The Impact of Same-Sex Parenting on Children / Clergy Sex Abuse Report," Fr. Paul Sullins, Ph.D.
LGBT Survivors Panelists: Laura Lowder, Elizabeth Woning

In addition to all of our programmed content, we conducted short interviews with many of our speakers, panelists, and attendees; some of them are collected in this playlist.

Thank you again, to our donors who helped make this event possible. We couldn't do it without you. We were able to fly in special guests from Trinidad and Kenya! We gave scholarships to people who have been through the mill and who couldn't otherwise afford to take part in this life-changing event. We subsidized several abandoned spouses as well as family members of clergy abuse victims. And now it's time to start preparing for next year! We rely on your continued support!
