Welcome to Ruth Institute
We made up a few designs using our logo and registered them with CafePress. If you aren't familiar with this site, it's a clever way to enable nonprofits like ours to provide our supporters with cool stuff, as well as a way to support us and spread our message at the same time.
Here's how it works: we create a design and assign it to a particular item, like a coffee cup. You decide you think it's really cool and order it from CafePress. They charge you for it and collect the money, then they make the item and ship it to you. Then, they subtract the part of the price that is Ruth's commission, and send it to us.
Simple.
And -- check with your tax advisor on this -- the amount that the Institute is paid may be tax deductible!
