VT Senate approves homosexual 'marriage' bill

MONTPELIER, Vt. - Vermont lawmakers have taken a step toward legalizing same-sex "marriage." The state Senate voted 26-4 Monday to approve a bill that would do away with civil unions in favor of marriage for gay and lesbian couples. The measure now goes to the House, where hearings start today.
